About the Role

The System Engineer oversees end-to-end readiness, integration, and validation of drone platforms. This role acts as the “technical glue” between hardware, electronics, communication systems, and software teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Manage daily operational workflows, ensuring all systems run reliably and efficiently.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, supply chain continuity, and inventory control.
  • Lead planning and execution of manufacturing and assembly pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot operational and system issues in real time, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Optimize cross-team communication between engineering, production, and support teams.
  • Own deployment and release processes with an emphasis on stability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

System Readiness & Integration

  • Ensure end-to-end system readiness for all drone platforms, from design through deployment.
  • Oversee and validate system integration across hardware, electronics, firmware, communication links, and software.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Build and execute QA procedures for drones after manufacturing and before experiments.
  • Perform functional tests on propulsion, communications, sensors, and control systems.

Documentation & System Flow

  • Write and maintain clear, high-quality system documentation: hardware diagrams, communication interfaces, mechanical architecture, safety requirements, and system workflows.
  • Lead configuration control and system version tracking.

Experiment & Field Management

  • Plan and manage field experiments, including setup, execution, safety, and data capture.

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience developing multi-disciplinary systems, preferably in robotics, drones, aerospace, or related domains.
  • Experience working in robotics companies or with complex electromechanical systems.
  • Hardware/Electronics:
    • Intermediate knowledge of electronics and hardware design (PCB understanding, basic schematics, power systems).
    • Familiarity with sensors, IMUs, GPS, RF modules, or similar embedded components.
  • Communication Systems:
    • Experience with communication protocols (UART, CAN, Ethernet, MAVLink, CRSF, RF links).
